10 DPO and.....

I'm justa waiting. I'm suppose to wait until June 1st. I don't think I can do that. I'm still on progesterone and haven't felt a thing. Normally by now, if not since ovulation my boobs are sore this time they aren't. Not sure if that's b/c of the progesterone or what but considering this is the only time I've taken the progesterone and the only time they haven't hurt it could be. Of course I say that now, watch in 2 or 3 days they will be hurting.

On another note, Jonathan and I took our dog Bailey camping this past weekend that was fun. It was Jonathan's first time camping, yes he's 24 and has not been camping before.. ha ha The river and mountains were beautiful.

I read a great scripture tonight that made me think about things.
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

IUI #2 Done :)

This morning was our second IUI, we had to be fit in because he was already booked for the morning. We got there and waited patiently. I was anticipating a lot of pain like last time so I took some tylenol before we left. The sample was taken around 8:15am-ish, we got to the dr office before 9. Sitting in the procedure room waiting I ask what time it is and it's already 9:20am. We were feeling rushed because I have always heard no more than an hour for the sample to still be good. He comes in and his nurse flips on the really bright light and the bulb blew, she had to get another bulb and this is when the dr looks at us and goes, "so how was your weekend?" Caught us both off guard but made us giggle, and he told us how he went to see Star Wars so him and my hubby chatted about that for a second. I was amazed this time at the fact that it did not hurt at all, nothing like last time. He explained the progesterone again and wants us to start that on Wednesday and then we wait 14 days and the 14th day happens to be my Mom's birthday. I holding out hope that will give us some luck! So in the meantime I will try to not dwell on the fact and eat some pineapple for implantation and just enjoy my life. :)

IUI attempt #2 is a go!

So this past cycle started April 30th, I took 200mg of Clomid May 2-6. I went for our mid cycle check up on May 13th we had one follie on my left side measuring 17x14mm. The Dr. said he would like to see that follie a little bigger and wants me to come back on Friday. He said we have a 10% chance of ovulating before then. I didn't have high hopes for the follie because last time he said that we had to cancel our IUI because it did not grow anymore. This morning Jonathan went with me and low and behold it had increased to 20x17mm. We were thrilled and will be doing the shot of Ovidrel on Saturday night and we are scheduled to come back Monday morning at 9am for the procedure.
He wants me to start the endometrin either tuesday or wednesday he wants to think about it and will let me know Monday. I'm excited this one is the biggest I have had and I pray that we will get lucky this time. I have my grapefruit juice ready to drink as I have heard that helps with implantation.
I have also taken the time to sit down and look at how much money we have spent. We truly are blessed with good insurance this year alone they have paid more than $1700.00 and we have paid out of pocket so far since January of 08 more than $1000.00. Last year our insurance paid $1000.00 for me to have the HSG that's almost $4000.00 together with our insurance that has been paid so far. That's crazy! I sure hope this works this time!! :)

IUI #2 take two!

Finally 52 days later our cancelled IUI cycle is over. I went to the doctor this morning I had no cysts so he prescribed me 200mg of Clomid. He gave me the warning of how that's a lot of Clomid and normally 150mg is the most some doctors prescribe. He continued to say has been doing this for years and some women need the stronger dosage. He believes I am one of those women. Our follow up appointment is for May 13th. I pray we get good news this time. I have the meds all ready once we get the ok. Yay!

IUI #2- No Go!

GRRRR.... $153.00 later and out of pocket mind you, we had to cancel this IUI. We went last Friday the 20th and had one mature follie at 11mm on the left. Dr said if it didn't mature we would probably have to cancel this IUI. Thinking to myself I had read follies are suppose to grow 2.2mm a day and I figured by Tuesday the 24th when we are scheduled go back it will be way past 16mm. Again, like usual I was wrong. He said nothing changed at all on either side. So this cycle we had to cancel and now I wait a couple weeks and hope my period comes along and then we start over. This time he will up my clomid to 150mg. I have the ovidrel shot so I don't have to spend another $45.00 on that. Who knew just trying to get pregnant would be so frustrating. I shed a few tears, the first time I have done that since we started trying in January of 08. There goes my baby wish for Christmas. I guess ya do what you gotta do if you want something bad enough and boy do I ever!

Mid Cycle Check Up

We had our mid cycle check up yesterday at 8:30am. I was hoping for good news like we got last cycle. We only have one dominate follie on my left side at 11mm. He said we have lots of little eggs in there just none mature enough. We made an appointment to come back on tuesday the 24th to check and hope the little follie has matured enough to sustain a pregnancy. If it is over 16mm we will trigger that night and then schedule the procedure on thursday. I have now run into an issue at work. That day already has 3 people off, if I take off I will get an occurrence, but I was so uncomfortable and miserable last time I’m afraid I will feel that way again. So I'm going to see tuesday if everything is a go if maybe we could schedule it later in the day on thursday. I also asked the dr how he felt about progesterone since Clomid thins the lining of the uterus and progesterone helps it grow. He felt that would be a good idea for me so he prescribed me Endometrin to start after I ovulate. That makes me feel good and I pray hard that will help with implantation. The dr also said if the follie is not mature enough we won't be able to do the IUI this cycle and he will up my Clomid to 150mg for the next try. So we will see, it depends on how tuesday goes! I'm praying we get really good news!

IUI #1 = Bust!

Well I think the title says it all. I didn't have high hopes since hubby left the same day of the IUI, but gees 80mil and 2 mature eggs what else are we missing?? I'm frustrated and constantly wondering why is this so hard? In my eyes it's amazing anyone gets pregnant. Do I want it to bad, is that the problem? I just can't figure it out and I know I'm not suppose to right now.

Today is cycle day 2 and I called the dr office all morning and in the afternoon and no one answered, I left a message and no one returned it. I have no idea why, they are suppose to open at 8am and I don't think it's a holiday. I hope I can get a hold of them tomorrow, I always start clomid on CD 3. I've decided a couple things this time around. I have heard pineapple is suppose to help with implantation and to start eating it the day of the IUI, at this point why not. I'm also going to ask about full blood work, since no one has done that at all during this journey. I am also going to give up taking my temperature and try really, really, really hard to relax more. However, it's next to impossible. They say if IUI is going to work for a couple it should work in three chances, here is to lucky #2!!
